He did become a heartless technically, and yeah he became a heart without a body. That is why he said his body perished, but clearly there was no physical change to him if he was still able to have the same mindset as he did when he was AX, not to mention that he was still able to write, unlike later on where we see a version of ASoD who seems as if he is struggling to move at all probably due to the years of exposure without a vessel.
Sora was a "walking heart" at the end of KH1, but still looked like Sora. He's got his hunched over posture, Literally the only thing I see that resembles MX at all. Nothing else does. You are seeing things that aren't even there. MX's body figure design wasn't random, Nomura deliberately designed his body too look like the robed AnsemSoD This is incorrect. It's literally just the hunched back and the sigil. The rest is your imagination, because that robed figure is literally dragging his feet.
It's as if that thing has no feet. The body has almost completely deteroriated which is why he is dragging his dead body slowly. Hell he had no legs in KH1 right before he possessed Riku. He was floating and there were no boots. Again you are seeing things that aren't even there.
The Robed Figure is a broken down body of the original Terranort. That's all. MX even in his old age is still able to walk normally. The robed figure is not. He's dragging his feet as if he's struggling to even walk, not to mention the robed figure seems as if it has no arms or hands, meanwhile MX obviously does, and you can tell he does even under his Organization XIII coat. And the Robed figure looks very short. He is even shorter than KH1 Riku. Even hunchback MX is much taller than KH1 Riku, because he's almost nearly eye level with Terra even in hunchback form, so again, you're seeing things that aren't even there.
Nothing at all. But since only his heart and mind went into terra, then what happened to Xehanort's original body? He came from Terranort. If he was made from Xehanort when he released his heart to possess Terra, as I believe you're asking he would look more like Xehanort than Terrranort. It can be assumed that it is the heart that gives the Nobody it's form, which is why Namine is female even though the body used to crate her belonged to Sora, a male.
As for what happened to the original Xehanort's body, since the heart entered a new vessel rather than becoming a Heartless, it can be assumed that a Nobody was not created and the body simply vanished to wherever it is Nobodies go if they've been destroyed but their heartless have not. This could also be true for Eraqus.
However, this is all merely conjecture based on circumstantial evidence that could easily be disproven by later entries to the series. If your looking for an irrefutable, concrete, canonical answer, non exists.
I'd always thought Xemnas had a bit of Terranort in him, whether he was technically Xehanort's Heartless or not. The reason being the Xemnas spoke to Aqua's armor and even considered it a friend, I believe. If he was fully Master Xehanort, I doubt he would've done this. Also, if you look at his physique, he great resembles Terranort, or at least I thought so. So yes, I think he's technically a Nobody to Xehanort, but I agree with your theory that Terranot had a lot to do with it.
As for whether Terranort exists now That's a question I've been asking myself a lot lately. My initial thought was "no," because Master Xehanort is in full power now. I also thought it was possible that Terra could've returned, though I suppose we won't this till later. Nomura: Xemnas remembering his human years. The coat used by the Organization was something that Master Xehanort originally wore.
The Nobody mark used by the Organization is a similar shape to the mark Terra used. Xemnas gives Organization members names with an X in them. Never stated, but seeing as though he wanted a younger body, he simply discarded it he didnt become a heartless like Sora, so a nobody wasnt made. What I'm saying is, even though a Nobody is the body a person leaves behind, the heart, despite not being present, influences it's physical appearance.
