You can be kind for a while; you can be generous for a while; you can be just for a while, or merciful for a while, even loving for a while.

But it is only with courage that you can be persistently and insistently kind and generous and fair. After a heated exchange, it was obvious neither side was going to back down, and Maya faced a choice between keeping her job and standing up for what she believed in.

Not surprisingly, she walked out. Once she reached her car, still angry, she realized she had left her car keys on her desk. Her lesson? Need a lift?
