If an entry in the column is blank, there are no guaranteed quests which raise that specific lumber merchant's disposition.

Improve this question. While this can become quite pricey if you need large amounts it might be easier to get them through another method. In order to become friends with those owners, all you have to do is sell them some firewood and they will be grateful. After selling enough firewood, you can ask them for permission to cut down the trees in the surrounding area. They are more likely to say yes if you ask them inside their own home rather than when they are at work.
After gaining permission you can begin to cut down the trees and gain ten Sawn logs per log.
